Steve Waszak, a U. of D. High School senior, upset defending state Class A 100-yard butterfly champion Fred Savinsky, of Warren Cousino, last night in the pool record time of 56 seconds.

U. of D. High won the meet at Cousino, 51-49, despite the disqualification of its freestyle relay.
Waszak also set a pool record of 2:17.2 in the 200-yard individual medley. Teammate

Dick Duffield established a mark of 23.1 in the 50-yard freestyle and won the 100-yard backstroke while his younger brother Harry to the 100-yard freestyle and set a record of 1:59.0 in the 200.
